Michael "Mike" Jon Bruggen

Michael “Mike” Bruggen, 52, of Louisville, Kansas passed away Thursday, February 17, 2011 in Topeka, Kansas. Mike was born May 16, 1958 in Topeka, Kansas, the son of John and Vonna Bruggen. He attended schools in Topeka and Alma. On January 18, 2003, he married Deb Yonke in Las Vegas, Nevada. Mike lived in Louisville the last four years, where he worked as a carpenter. Mike enjoyed gardening and collecting and riding his Harley. He loved motorcycles and his dog Stormy and loved going on adventurous road trips. He attended the Louisville Methodist Church. Mike is survived by his wife Deb, of Louisville. Other survivors include his daughter: Laci Bruggen and fiancé Carlos, Topeka; his mother: Vonna Williams, Topeka; his father: John Bruggen and wife Linda, Topeka; 2 sisters: Linda Murray and husband Tom and Lise Ullery and husband Rick all of Topeka; 2 step-daughters: Amber Capoun and husband Ben and Melinda Meseke; 1 grandson Jacobe Bruggen; 3 step-granddaughters: Haleigh, Keaira and Kiylea; and 4 nephews: David, Cade, T.J. and John. He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Mayme Denton. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 23, 2011 at the Stewart Funeral Home of Wamego.
