Kristofer Taylor Millan Roark “Tyler”, 18, of St. George, Kansas, passed away Friday, March 18, 2011, due to injuries sustained in an automobile accident. Tyler was born in San Diego, California on December 14, 1992. He was the son of Hans and Donna Tessmann. He lived in St. George the last 7 years coming from San Diego, California. Tyler was a junior at Rock Creek High School and was a member of Manhattan Church of Christ in Manhattan, Kansas. Tyler had a great sense of humor and was very opinionated when it came to politics and religion. He was a very bright young man who loved technology and computers and wanted to pursue a degree in computer technology following high school. He enjoyed playing games and playing Xbox and Rock Band with his siblings and friends and loved fishing, swimming and setting off fireworks. He was a great brother and great son. Tyler is survived by his parents Hans and Donna Tessmann of St. George, KS; 2 sisters: Kristyn Roark of San Diego, CA and Kyla Tessmann of the home; 1 brother Kaleb Tessmann of the home; 1 grandfather: Gene Hammonds of Kentucky; 2 grandmothers: Blanch Roark of San Diego, CA, and Dixie Tessmann of St. George, KS; his 2 uncles: Anthony Tessmann of St. George, KS and Daniel Roark and his wife Leticia of Arizona; his auntie Kristin Clark; 2 cousins: Rudy and Tiffany Tessmann and many brothers and sisters in Christ. Tyler was preceded in death by his grandfather Hurley Roark and his great aunt Marge Tessmann. Funeral services for Tyler Roark will be Saturday, March 26, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at the Manhattan Church of Christ in Manhattan. Burial will follow in the St. George Cemetery. A visitation will be held Friday, from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. at Stewart Funeral Home of Wamego. Memorial contributions may be made to the Tyler Roark Memorial Fund, and may be left in care of the funeral home, P.O. Box 48, 66547.
