Clara B. Myers, 87, of Westmoreland, KS and formerly of Columbus, OH, passed away Friday, March 25 at Golden Living Center of Wakefield, KS.
Clara was born April 18, 1923 in Columbus, OH, the daughter of John and Nora Watsewah. She attended schools in Columbus and married Carl J. Ucker in 1939 in Columbus, OH. He preceded her in death in August of 1975. She later married Jim Myers in 1977 who also preceded her in death in 1984. In the summer of 1994, Clara moved to Westmoreland, KS to be closer to her daughter and family. She enjoyed playing Tetris video games, playing bingo and crocheting. Mostly, she enjoyed spending her time with her family, who loved her very much and will miss her dearly.
Clara’s survivors include her daughter, Carol Sawyer of Westmoreland, KS; two sons, Clayton “Butch” Ucker of Columbus, OH, Donald “Duke” Ucker of Columbus, OH; 10 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and 7 great-great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her brothers, Robert, Fred, and John Watsewah, and her two sisters, Helen Kramer and Irene Ridenour.
Graveside funeral services will be held at the Glen Rest Memorial Estate Cemetery in Reynoldsburg, OH, at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, March 31, 2011.
