Bill Byron Woodruff

Wamego-William “Bill” B. Woodruff, 82, passed away Friday May 4, 2007 at his residence. Born on September 12, 1924, in Clyde Kansas, he was the son of Charles and Myra (Christian) Woodruff. He attended schools in St. George and later graduated from St. George High School in 1942. Bill was a lifelong farmer in the Wamego/St. George area and was at one time the Township Trustee of St. George. His family includes: His nephews Tim Woodruff and wife Marilyn of Wamego, KS, and Tom Woodruff and wife Lisa of Wichita, KS; his grand nieces Cheryl and Sarah, and his grand nephews, Phil, Ben, Sutton, Triston, and Trenton. He was preceded in death by his two brothers, Leslie and Neil. Funeral Services will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday May 10 at Stewart Funeral Home of Wamego, where the family will greet friends one hour prior to service time.
