Beverly Ann Hiegert, 52, of Louisburg, Kansas, formerly of Paxico, passed away Wednesday, May 25, 2011 at Kansas City Hospice House, Kansas City, Missouri following a courageous battle with cancer.
Beverly was born on January 5, 1959 in Wamego, Kansas, the daughter of Eugene E. and Carmen A. (Zeller) Hiegert. She grew up in the Paxico area before attending high school in Paxico and Wamego and graduating from Wamego High School in 1977. She attended Hutchinson Community College before transferring to Washburn University and graduating with a Bachelors degree in Business in 1985.
Beverly worked for the Internal Revenue Services for more than 20 years. She loved to read and enjoyed quilting, traveling and spending time with her family and friends.
Beverly is survived by her mother Carmen Hiegert, of Paxico, KS; her two sisters: Marilynn Hiegert, of Topeka, KS and Karen Luse and husband Terry, of Topeka, KS; one brother Richard Hiegert, of Prairie Village, KS and two nieces: Jessica and Jaimie Luse. She was preceded in death by her father Eugene Edward Hiegert.
Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Mass for Beverly will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, June 1, 2011 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Newbury. A visitation will take place at Sacred Heart Catholic Church on Tuesday at 6:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. A rosary will follow beginning at 7:00 p.m. Burial will be held in the Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery.
