Ronald "Ron" Wayne Reed

Ronald “Ron” Wayne Reed, 52, of Wamego, Kansas passed away Monday, July 25, 2011 at his home in Wamego. Ron was born on May 15, 1959 in Manhattan, Kansas the son of Charles R. and Ruth A. (Gladow) Reed. He attended schools in Manhattan, KS before graduating from North Central Kansas Technical College in Beloit, KS with a degree in Welding. On March 5, 1983, he married Victoria Brazzle in Manhattan, KS. She survives of the home. Ron worked for Bird Music in Manhattan, KS for more than 25 years as a technical repairman. He had enjoyed riding motorcycles in his free time. Lately he loved doing yard work and always loved cars and racing, especially going to Nascar races, but most importantly he loved spending time with his family. Ron is survived by his wife Vickie (Brazzle) Reed, of the home; his mother: Ruth (Gladow) Reed Screen, of Manhattan, KS; one daughter: Nichole Pfannenstiel and husband Patrick of Topeka, KS; three sons: Bruce A. Haase Jr. and fiance Robin Gnadt, Daniel K. Reed and close friend Katie, and Christopher M. Reed and fiancé Katlynne, all of Wamego, KS; one brother: Bradly Reed of Manhattan, KS; two sisters: Teresa Byrd and husband Robert of Mission, KS and Rebecca Gray and husband Jeff of Olathe, KS; one step-sister: Rhonda Sharp and husband Chuck of Junction City, KS; his mother and father in-laws: Elmer and Phyllis Brazzle; four grandchildren: Patrick Jr., Johnathan, Victoria and Samantha and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends. He was preceded in death by his father Charles, his stepfather Ronald Screen, a grandson Bentley M. Reed and his grandparents Herman and Frankie Gladow. Private graveside services will be held on Friday, July 29, 2011. Mr. Reed will lie in-state beginning at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, at Stewart Funeral Home of Wamego, with family to receive friends during a visitation from 6-8:00 p.m. Memorials are suggested to the Ronald Reed Memorial Fund, and may be left in care of the Stewart Funeral Home of Wamego, P.O.
