Deborah “Deb” K. Reves, 58, of Wamego, Kansas passed away Thursday, September 1, 2011 at The Good Shepherd Hospice House in Manhattan, after her battle with cancer.
Deb was born on December 1, 1952 in Marysville, Kansas the daughter of Harold L. and Lucille B. (Meyer) Roever. She attended Manhattan High School graduating in 1971. On June 21, 1975, she married Mike Reves in Manhattan, KS. He survives of the home. She was a Wamego resident since 1975.
Deb was a dental assistant and secretary for several years for Dr. Ditto in Wamego, but most recently worked for GTM in Manhattan. Deb loved to fish, especially going to Canada with her family on fishing trips, she also enjoyed sewing, flowers, gardening and cooking. She always loved visiting with family and friends.
Deb is survived by her husband Mike, of the home; her mother: Lucille Love, of Manhattan, KS; two daughters: Erin Valenta and husband Danny, of Gardner, KS and Jenni Wiegert and husband Dusty, of Salina, KS; one son: Bill Reves and significant other Ashley, of Wamego, KS; 2 sisters: Donna Cederberg and husband David, of Manhattan, KS and Robin Brown and husband Greg, of Alta Vista, KS; and two grandchildren: Kaleb and Kenzie Valenta. She was preceded in death by her father Harold and an infant brother, Ronald.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, September 6, 2011, at Stewart Funeral Home, of Wamego. Deb will lie in-state beginning at 3:30 p.m. Monday, at Stewart Funeral Home, where the family will receive friends during a visitation from 6:30p.m.-8:00 p.m. Memorials are suggested to the Good Shepherd Hospice House, Manhattan, and may be left in care of the Stewart Funeral Home of Wamego, P.O.
