Norma Jean Saffell

Norma Jean Saffell, 78, formerly of Wamego, Kansas, passed away Thursday, October 27, 2011 at the Cameron Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Cameron, Missouri. Norma was born May 23, 1933 in Blaine, Kansas, the daughter of John Frederick and Kathryn Mary (Walsh) Brockish. Norma graduated from Wamego High School in 1952. On January 15, 1955 she married Clarence Wayland Saffell in Wamego, Kansas. He survives of the home. Norma was a bookkeeper for the family owned business, S&S Construction and Equipment, for over 30 years Norma is survived by her two sons: Brad Saffell and wife Lisa, of Lexington, Kentucky and Greg Saffell of Hollywood, California; one sister: Barbara Eckart of Colorado Springs, Colorado; one grandson: Ryan Saffell and wife Brittany of Huntsville, Alabama; two nieces: Kelly Eckart and Judy Bowser and two nephews: Chris and David Eckart. She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother-in-law, Delbert Eckart. A visitation for Norma will be held from 1:00 p.m.-3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 1, 2011 at the Stewart Funeral Home of Wamego. Private burial will follow at St. Bernard’s Catholic Cemetery, Wamego.
