Mary Jo Jones

Mary Jo Jones, 51, passed away Monday, July 23rd, 2007 at her home in Wamego. Born on January 27, 1956 in Onaga, she was the daughter of Ernest Paul and Mary Belle (Teter) Shepherd. She attended Havensville grade schools, and later graduated from Onaga High School in 1974. On June 12, 1974, she married Donald K. Jones. Of this union, two girls were born, Sherri and Jo Ann. Mary Jo was preceded in death by her husband on June 1, 2006. Survivors include: her daughters, Jo Ann Jones of St. George, and Sherri Jones of Wamego; her mother, Mary Belle of Valley Vista in Wamego; her brothers, Gale Shepherd of Wabaunsee and Francis Shepherd of Belvue; Her sister Arlene Shepherd of Havensville; her three grandsons, Cody, Brian, and Derick, and her granddaughter Tessa. In addition to her husband, Mary Jo was preceded in death by her father, her two sisters, Patricia Hibb, and Mildred Siefkin. Funeral Services will be 2:00 p.m., Friday Jul 27th, at Stewart Funeral Home with a visitation being held at 1:00 p.m., one hour prior to services.
