Lorene Francis Noll, 79, passed away early Friday morning August 10, 2007 at her home in Wamego.
Born on November 8, 1927 in Flush, she was the daughter of William and Mary (Lintz) Gros. She attended and graduated Flush School. On June 25, 1947, she married Kenneth Noll at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Flush. The couple made their home in the Wamego area. Lorene was a homemaker for many years before becoming the full time agency manager at Guth Insurance Agency. She worked there for eighteen years before deciding to be a full time homemaker again. She was a member of St. Bernard’s Catholic Church, a member of the church choir, a member of the church council as well as the women’s guild. Lorene loved to quilt but most of all loved her large family and spending time with all of them. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend to all who knew her and she will be greatly missed.
Her survivors include: her husband, Kenneth, of the home; her daughters, Karen Linquist and husband Bill of Aurora, CO, Debbie Smith and husband Harry of Wamego, KS, and Jean Koch of Topeka, KS; her sons, Jerry Noll and wife Lisa of Sand Springs, OK, and Ed Noll and wife Betty of Lawrence, KS; her sisters, Ann Meyer and Isabel Mondt; her ten grandchildren, Angela, Will, Megan, Amber, Kelly, Chris, Kenny, Kevin, Kendra, and Jacob; and eleven great-grandchildren, Stephanie, Brandon, David, Johnathon, Hayden, Nollan, Camryn, Merrin, Broden, Lucas, and Dylan. Lorene was preceded in death by six sisters, Gertrude, Agnes, Adelia, Dorothy, Lucille, and Wilma, and three brothers Felix, Ray, and John.
Memorials have been established in Lorene’s name for the St. Bernard’s Church Building Fund or The Wamego Public Library.
