Glenna Arlene Osburn, 96, of rural St. George, Kansas, passed away Friday, September 7, 2012 at the Valley Vista Good Samaritan Center in Wamego, Kansas.
Glenna was born June 27, 1916 in Chapman, Kansas, the daughter of Glenn and Sadie (Webb) Osburn. She grew up in the Chapman area graduating from Chapman High School in 1934. Glenna moved to the St. George area with her family in 1946.
Glenna along with her family all helped run the family farm. Outside of taking care of the farm she was also a caregiver for her parents and aunt Hallie. Glenna loved music and enjoyed teaching music to others. She was an amazing pianist and violinist.
Glenna is survived by her brother: Leighton Osburn and his wife Betty of Amarillo, TX and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister: Lillian; one brother: Cordon and her aunt: Hallie.
A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 12, 2012 at the Indian Hills Cemetery in Chapman, KS. A visitation for Glenna will be held prior to her graveside service from 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. at the Stewart Funeral Home, Wamego.
