Benjamin Dean Gordon

Benjamin Dean Gordon, 75, formerly of Wamego, passed away November 16 at Colmery -O’Neil Medical Center in Topeka. Ben was born on January 12, 1932 in rural Pottawatomie County to James and Helen (Burgess) Gordon. He attended Wamego schools and graduated from Wamego High School. He was married and later divorced. Ben served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. He was employed with Gregg Tire in Topeka, Firestone in Wichita and Manhattan and most recently was a construction worker. His survivors include: his daughters, Lori and Brenda of Idaho; his son Dale of Topeka, KS; his sister, Rebecca Lindbloom of Topeka, KS; his brother Gary Gordon of St. George, KS; and numerous grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Jim and Roland Gordon, his sister, Mary Austin, and three sons, Terry, Greg, and Tracy. Funeral services will be Friday November 23, at 2:00 p.m. at Stewart Funeral Home in Wamego. A visitation will be held one hour prior to services at 1:00 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made in Ben’s name to the charity of the donor’s choice.
