Alice M. Rhodeman, 63, of Salina, Kansas passed away Thursday, October 18, 2012 at the Salina Regional Health Center, in Salina.
Alice was born on January 31, 1949, in Speedville, Florida, the daughter of Sewell and Florence (Donley) Proctor. She graduated from Bradford County High School in 1967, before enlisting into the United States Army. She served in the military for 18 years. After the military Alice was a housewife. On April 29, 1989, she was united in marriage to Michael L. Rhodeman in Manhattan, Kansas. He survives of the home in Salina.
Alice is also survived by one stepson: Pleasure Brown and wife Terri; one stepdaughter: Tamika Atkins-Rhodeman and husband Daniel; two brothers: Sewell Proctor, Jr. and wife Julia and Robert Proctor and wife Sofia; three sisters: Janet Terry and husband Frank, Gale Proctor and Pamela Proctor; 12 step-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers: Johnny and Jerry and one sister: Cathy.
A funeral service for Alice will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 25, 2012 at the Stewart Funeral Home, Wamego. Burial will follow in the Wamego City Cemetery. A visitation will be held prior to her service beginning at 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the Alice Rhodeman Memorial Fund and may be left in care of the Stewart Funeral Home of Wamego, PO Box 48, 66547.
