Betty Beryl (Rawson) Daylor, 91, of Wamego, Kansas passed away Monday, February 11, 2013 at the Wamego City Hospital. Betty was born in Wamego, Kansas on February 1, 1922, the daughter of Leonard J. and Nellie L. (Wreath) Rawson. She attended schools in Wamego and was part of the 1st graduating class out of the new Wamego High School in 1939. After high school she married Selmar Buatte. He preceded her in death in 1946. On August 13, 1955, in Wamego, Kansas Betty married Larry Daylor. He to preceded her in death in 1988. Betty worked as a bookkeeper for over 30 years for Daylor Motors before retiring. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Wamego, Wamego Country Club, Manhattan Country Club and was a member of Legacy of First National Bank. Betty loved playing golf and traveling the world and had visited every country but Ireland. Betty is survived by one brother: Robert “Bob” Rawson and wife Edith of Wamego, Kansas and twin sisters: Jean Clem and husband Bud of Bozeman, Montana and Jo Ott of Las Cruces, New Mexico. She was also preceded in death by two brothers: Leonard and Wilbur and two sisters: June and Jane. A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Monday, February 18, 2013 at the Stewart Funeral Home of Wamego with Rev. Bill Sietz officiating. Inurnment will be held at a later date. A visitation will be held prior to the service beginning at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions are suggested to the Wamego Country Club and may be left in care of the Stewart Funeral Home of Wamego, PO Box 48, 66547.
