Donette Marie Stevens

Donette Marie Stevens, 57, passed away Sunday March 23, 2008 at Stormont Vail Hospital in Topeka. Born on October 25, 1950, in Ft. Riley, Kansas, she was the daughter of Donald and Laverta (Hafenstein) Mumpower. She was baptized at Wells Creek United Church of Christ. She attended and graduated from Wamego High School in 1968. Donette married Arthur Sellers, they divorced. She then married William Stevens and later they divorced. She is survived by: her mother Laverta Rush of Wamego, KS; her sons, Daniel Harrison, Kevin Sellers, and Kody Stevens all of Wamego, KS; her daughter Kristina Stevens of Wamego, KS; her brothers, Randy Mumpower and his wife Jane and Larry Mumpower and his wife Gloria all of Wamego, KS; her four grandchildren, Chrisondra and Tyanna Sellers, Taige Gravies, and Farron Harrison. Donette was preceded in death by her father Donald, her step father James Rush and her grandparents. Funeral Services for Donette will be 2:00 p.m. Friday March 28th, at Stewart Funeral Home of Wamego. A visitation will be held one hour prior to services on Friday at the funeral home. She will lie in state on Thursday from 1-6:00 p.m. Memorials have been designated in her name to help the family defray funeral expenses.
