Ronald C. Siebert

Ronald C. Siebert, 87, formerly of Flush, Kansas, died Monday, March 24, 2008 in a hospital in Littleton, Colorado. He was born on December 12, 1920 in Flush, Kansas, the son of Peter A. and Addie Isabelle (Umscheid) Siebert. Ron attended grade school and graduated from high school in Flush, Kansas. He enlisted in the US Army Air Force following school and served as a Flight Officer from 1942 until 1945. After his military service, he then completed a year of education as Kansas State University. On January 18, 1949, Ron married Larena M. Bieker at Collyer, Kansas. They celebrated life together for nearly 55 years prior to her passing in 2003. Ronald started and owned his road construction company, which he operated for over 35 years before retiring. He was a member of the Kansas Contractors Association for many years. Upon retirement, he was able to pursue his favorite sport, which was golf, and travel with Larena. He especially enjoyed the time they spent in the Colorado mountains. He was a loving husband and father. He is survived by his daughter, Sharon Siebert of Littleton, Colorado, and a son, David Siebert and his wife Carol of Rogers, Arkansas; one step-grandson and two step-great-granddaughters; a sister-in-law, Ruth Siebert of Wamego, Kansas, and many nephews and nieces. He was also preceded in death by two sisters, Isabelle Edwards and Mary Leonard, and five brothers, Bernard, Paul, Albert, Thomas, and Walter Siebert. The family suggests memorial contributions to the St. Bernard’s Church Building Fund
