Kealan Brodie German passed away Sunday, August 11, 2013 in Wamego, Kansas, where he was living with his family. He was born July 31, 1981 in Beloit, Kansas to Dana (Kresin) Quinn and Greg German.
Kealan became a husband and father on May 18, 2013 when he married Nikki Biesenthal - the love of his life – a union that included his step-son Cadan, whom he adored. He is survived by his wife Nikki and step-son Cadan; parents, Dana and C.A. Quinn, and Greg and Regina German; brothers Alden German and Casey Quinn; sister Christa Prideaux; grandparents Majorie Kresin, Harold and Marlene German. He also leaves to mourn his passing a host of other loving extended family members, in-laws and friends. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, LaVerne Kresin.
Kealan lived with his parents on a farm north of Glen Elder before moving to Manhattan, KS where he resided until he was 14. He then went to live with his father in Kansas City, KS.
He was a 1999 high school graduate of Piper High School, Kansas City, KS, after which he attended Fort Hays State University, graduating in 2006 with a BS Degree in Geography. He then returned to live in Glen Elder where he worked as a farmhand and later as a feed mill manager in Tipton, KS, before moving to Wamego.
Kealan was a spiritual person in many ways and was baptized at the age of six. He was an avid hunter, loved wheat harvest, and appreciated nature, rainy days, thunder, rainbows, flowers, and full moons. He loved spending afternoons fishing with Nikki and Cadan. He took great joy talking with and horsing around with his brother, Alden. He was a fan of the Green Bay Packers, K-State football and NASCAR, especially #29! He enjoyed planning and taking vacations, and had a passion for writing and photography.
Kealan was a gift to all of us as a loving son, brother, grandson, husband, father and friend.
