Nola Yvonne Dillon

Westmoreland- Nola Yvonne Dillon, 84, formerly of Manhattan, Kansas, passed away June 9, 2008 at Wamego City Hospital. She was born on August 6, 1923 in Jewell County, Kansas, the daughter of Clarence and Gealie (Mosier) Blaylock. Nola graduated from Mankato High School in 1941. On October 17, 1947, she married Ardean Dillon in Hebron Nebraska. They shared 60 years of marriage. Ardean survives at Westmoreland Community Care Home. Nola had many interests, including gardening, reading, sports, politics and was a gifted seamstress. She will be greatly missed by family and friends. She is also survived by her daughters, Jimme Wood and husband Bill of Cason, TX., Jo Diane Oldfield and husband Dan of Bisbee, AZ., Lana Ellis and husband Tom G. of Manhattan, KS., and Cathy Bieker and husband Larry of Pittsburg, KS; her grandchildren, Susan Marie Brown, Larry Brown Jr. Kara Creech, Sundan Oldfield, Luke Oldfield, Jordan Ellis, Garrett Ellis, Lauren Bieker and Nick Bieker and 7 great grandchildren. Nola was preceded in death by her parents, her brothers, Wayne, Murlin and Robert, and her sister Noma Blaylock. Cremation has been effected and services will be held at a later date. Memorials are designated to Westmoreland Community Care Home, and contributions may be left in care of Stewart Funeral Home, P.O. Box 48, Wamego, 66547.
