Sharon Kay Roudybush, 66, of Manhattan, Kansas, formerly of St. Joseph, Missouri, went to rest in peace on Friday, January 24, 2014.
Sharon was born on December 3, 1947, in St. Joseph, Missouri. Sharon was the daughter of Gordon and Carmen Rose. She grew up and attended schools in St. Joseph, graduating from Central High School. She moved to Manhattan, Kansas in 1996. On February 20, 2000, Sharon was united in marriage to her best friend, Ted Ray Roudybush in St. Joseph, Missouri. He survives of their home.
Sharon was a homemaker and one of Jehovah’s Witnesses. She loved being with her spiritual family and spending time with her dogs and bird. She enjoyed sewing and cooking, but most of all loved spending time with her family.
Sharon is also survived by her son: Richard Decker of Kansas City, MO; her daughter: Terri Krull of Savannah, MO; her granddaughter: Chelsey Hysten and husband Colby; triplet grandsons: Trenton, Trevor and Tyler Krull; one expecting great-grandson: Keyton Hysten and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and one daughter, Amy.
Funeral services for Sharon will be held Tuesday, January 28, 2014 at 3:00 p.m., at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Manhattan. A visitation will be held prior to her service at the Hall beginning at 2:00 p.m. Family will also welcome friends, during a visitation at the Meierhoffer Funeral Home and Crematory in St. Joseph, Missouri, from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 29, where cremation will follow. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Sharon Roudybush Memorial Fund, to be designated later and may be left in care of the Stewart Funeral Home, PO Box 48, Wamego, KS 66547.
