Janelle Lynette Baldwin, 40, of Wamego, Kansas passed away Thursday, July 17, 2014 at the Valley Vista Good Samaritan Society in Wamego.
Janelle was born May 27, 1974 in Paola, Kansas, the daughter of George and Debra (Murr) Baldwin. She graduated from Wamego High School in 1993. Janelle worked as a C.N.A. and also most recently as a bartender and waitress in the Kansas City area before moving back to Wamego in 2011.
Janelle wore flip-flops EVERYWHERE! She enjoyed shopping, loved to travel, dancing, getting her hair and nails done, spent an enormous amount of time with her friends, and enjoyed working with the elderly. Her favorite food was Reese’s. Lastly, she wanted to be a nurse and anytime someone felt they could possibly be ill she’d grab her nursing book and diagnose them.
Janelle is survived by her father: George of Nebraska; her two siblings: Jason of Alta Vista, KS and Jackie of Kansas City, MO; grandparents: Franklin and Delores Baldwin of Miller, MO; her aunt: Audrey Taylor of Topeka, KS one uncle and three nephews: Cory and Daryn Baldwin and Richie Dobbs. She was preceded in death by her mother, Debbie.
Cremation has taken place. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, August 9, 2014 at 10:30 a.m.., at the Stewart Funeral Home of Wamego. Private inurnment will be held at Cadmus Cemetery near LaCygne, KS. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Janelle Baldwin Memorial Fund and may be left in care of the Stewart Funeral Home, PO Box 48, Wamego, KS 66547.
