Yong Hui “Kim” Seager, 75, of Wamego, KS, passed away Friday, August 8th at Mercy Regional Health Center in Manhattan, KS.
Kim was born December 28, 1938 outside of Hiroshima, Japan, the daughter of Kim Bang Go and Myung Soo Kim. She moved to Korea in her early childhood years. On October 26, 1961, Kim and Kenneth Seager were united in marriage in Korea and had one daughter. She became a United States citizen in 1966.
She worked as a CNA at Valley Vista and Vintage Park in Wamego for many years. Kim loved to cook, made friends easily, and welcomed everyone in to her home. She loved gardening, crocheting and making gifts for all of her friends.
Surviving Kim is her husband, Kenneth, Wamego, a daughter, Lee Ann Davis and her husband Tom, San Antonio, TX, two sisters and a brother in California, one sister in Korea, and two granddaughters, Natalie and Rebecca.
Kim was preceded in death by three sisters and one grandson.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, August 13, 2014 at Stewart Funeral Home of Wamego at 10:30 a.m. Burial will follow at the Wamego City Cemetery. Kim will lie in-state beginning at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, where family will greet friends during a visitation from 7:00 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. all at the Stewart Funeral Home.
