Robert "Bub" T. Chilcott, Jr.

Robert “Bub” Theodore Chilcott, Jr., 65, of Westmoreland, Kansas, passed away Friday, January 2, 2015 at The University of Kansas Hospital. Robert was born April 22, 1949 in Manhattan, the son of Robert Sr. and Juanita Umscheid Chilcott. He attended Westmoreland schools and graduated from Manhattan Area Technical College with a certification in Auto Mechanics. On August 17, 1970, he married Mary Jane Lauer. They later divorced. He worked for over 40 years as an Automotive Mechanic for Skaggs Ford until it later became Dick Edwards Ford Lincoln. He was a devoted member of the Westmoreland Jaycees and Westmoreland Recreation Commission. He was a kind man who loved to spend time with close friends and family. He loved time with his grandchildren and watching their sporting events. He also enjoyed going to toy and gun collector shows. He is survived by three children, Angela Kay Bensouda (Aziz) of Shawnee, KS, Jeanna Marie Eichem, and Jason Robert Chilcott (Alyssa) Westmoreland, KS; three grandchildren, Joceline Marie Eichem, Harrison Robert Aziz Bensouda, Cameron James Chilcott; one sister, Nancy Blankley (Wayne) of Westmoreland, KS. Many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents. Robert's wishes were to be cremated. A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, January 10th at the Stewart Funeral Home of Wamego. Inurnment will follow in the St. Joseph’s Catholic cemetery.
