Arlene Kay Shepherd

Arlene Kay Shepherd, 52, Oskaloosa, KS, passed away January 12, 2015 at Hickory Pointe Care & Rehab Center in Oskaloosa. Arlene was born on September 23, 1961 in Onaga, KS to Ernest and Mary Belle (Teter) Shepherd. She attended school in Havensville, KS and was homemaker, helping her mother. Arlene was a lover of cats and dogs, and loved to shop. She was survived by a brother, Gale Shepherd, Wamego, and several nieces and nephews. She preceded in death by her parents, three sisters: Patty Hibbs, Mildred Siefkens, and Mary Jo Jones; and a brother: Francis Shephard. Funeral Services will be at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, January 16, 2015 at the Stewart Funeral Home of Wamego. Visitation will be an hour before the service at the funeral home. Private family graveside services will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family has suggested memorials go to the Arlene Shepherd Memorial Fund, and may be left in care of Stewart Funeral Home, PO Box 48, Wamego, 66547.
