Nathan E. Woodyard

Nathan E. Woodyard, 38, of Westmoreland, KS and formerly of Wamego, KS, passed away at his home Monday, May 25, 2015. Nathan was born August 8, 1976 in Wamego, the son of Melvin E. and Kathy Ann (Butler) Woodyard. He attended grade school and high school in Wamego and served in the US. Army. Following his military service, he had been working as a construction Laborer. Nathan enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, hunting, going on walks, gardening, and took pride in his tomatoes. Listening to Johnny Cash songs was one of his favorite things. Mostly, he loved the times he had with his daughter. His survivors include his daughter, Mariah Woodyard and her mom Kim, of Westmoreland; his parents: Melvin and Kathy Woodyard, Wamego; and his grandmother: Harriet Woodyard, of Wamego. A Celebration of Life for Nathan will be held Saturday, June 6, 2015 at Stewart Funeral Home of Wamego from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. with family greeting friends during that time.
