Beulah May Carley, 80, Wamego, Kansas passed away Saturday, July 11, 2015 at her home in Wamego.
On April 11, 1935 Beulah was born the daughter of Steven and Camilla (Cannon) Daniels in St. George, Utah. Beulah worked at TC Liquor and the Wamego City Hospital. She was united in marriage with Donald Pittenger, Sr. on October 31, 1953. They later divorced. She then married Wallace Carley on November 24, 1974. Wallace preceded her in death February 12, 2007.
She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary, loved spending time with her grandchildren, cooking with Dutch Ovens, quilting and crocheting.
She is survived by a son: Dan Pittenger, Wamego, KS; two daughters: Cathy Rightmire (Richard), Marysville, KS, and Jeannie Pittenger, Louisville, KS; three sisters: Erma Halley (Gill), Las Vegas, NV, Jolen Roberts (Ted), Pawnee, WY, and Ruthie Evans, Kanarraville, UT; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
She is also preceded in death by two sons: Nick Pittenger and Donald Pittenger, Jr.
A Memorial Service will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday, July 17, 2015 at the Stewart Funeral Home of Wamego. Visitation for family and friends will be prior to the memorial service beginning at 9:30 a.m. Interment will follow at the Louisville City Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family has suggested memorials to the Beulah Carley Memorial Fund, and may be left in care of Stewart Funeral Home, PO Box 48, Wamego, KS 66547.
