Russell "Miles" Hodges, Jr.

Russell “Miles” Hodges, Jr., 31, Wamego, KS passed away Monday, August 3, 2015 in Wamego. Miles was born on June 24, 1984 to Russell and Amy (Sexton) Hodges in Manhattan, KS. He worked in construction as a heavy equipment operator for several years. Miles enjoyed hunting, fishing, searching for arrowheads, four-wheeling, and finding morel mushrooms. Miles is survived by his father of St. George, KS; three daughters: Parisa Hodges and Amani Hodges, Utah, and Maya Hodges, Wamego, KS; a brother: Keefe Hodges, St. George, KS; his girlfriend: Anastasia Brown, Wamego, KS; a nephew: Tyler (Carli) Hodges, Wamego, KS; grandmother: Irene Hodges, St. George, KS; grandparents: Mervin and Cecile Sexton, Abilene, KS; three great-nephews: Randy, Jackson, and Charlie Hodges, Wamego, KS; and a great-niece: Kenzie Hodges, Wamego, KS. He is preceded in death by his mother, and two brothers, Randy and Tommy Hodges. Funeral Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, August 8, 2015 at the Stewart Funeral Home of Wamego. Visitation will be an hour before the service at the funeral home. Interment will be at the St. George Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family has suggested memorials to the Miles Hodges Memorial Fund, and may be left in care of Stewart Funeral Home of Wamego, PO Box 48, 66547.
