Pamela Ann Parker, 40, of Wamego, KS, passed away Thursday, September 24, 2015, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. Pam was born February 24, 1975 in Wamego, KS, the daughter of George and Carolyn (Ough) Stutzman. She graduated from Wamego High School in 1993, followed by attaining an Associate’s Degree from Highland Community College in Wamego. Pam worked for 13 years at the Topeka and Manhattan Wal-Mart Stores as a department manager. She had recently started a new job at Dick Edwards Ford in Manhattan. Pam was married to Anthony Filbert in April of 1995, they divorced. She later married Chris Parker in January of 2005. He preceded her in death on April 2, 2010. Pam loved her animals. She enjoyed gardening and being outdoors. One of her goals was to travel to all 50 states with her family. She made it to all but 14 states. She was a past member of Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church, the local F.F.A., an active member of the Dutch Mill 4H Club, and served as an assistant Boy Scout leader and as a Girl Scout leader. She is survived by her children: a son, Cody M. Filbert, Wamego, KS; her daughters: Cheyenne M. Filbert, Chelsea M. Filbert, Cassidy M. Filbert, all of Topeka, KS; her parents, George and Carolyn Stutzman, Wamego, KS; five brothers: George Stutzman, Jr. (Julie), Lyndon, KS, Norman Stutzman (Stacy), Belvue, KS, Sam Stutzman (Melissa), West Pointe, NE, Albert Stutzman (Cassie), Tonganoxie, KS, Alvin Stutzman (Amy), St. Marys, KS; her sister, Bana Stelk (Sean), Wamego, KS; her grandparents: Norman and Clara Ough, Hebron, NE, Margie Stutzman, Kearney, NE; Chris’s parents, Wayne and Margaret Parker, Westmoreland, KS; and numerous nieces and nephews. Memorial services for Pamela will be held at 10:30a.m., Friday, October 2, 2015 at Trinity Baptist Church of Wamego. Private inurnment will be in Wamego City Cemetery. The family will greet friends during a visitation held Thursday from 7:00 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. at the Stewart Funeral Home of Wamego. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the “Parker Family Education Fund”, or to the “Parker Family Boy Scout Fund”, and may be left in care of the Stewart Funeral Home of Wamego, PO Box 48, 66547.
