Allen Roy Molzen, 84, Belvue, KS, passed away November 5, 2015 at the Good Shepherd Hospice House in Manhattan, KS.
Allen was born on February 10, 1931 to Roy and Margaret (Cobbs) Molzen in Newton, KS. After graduating from high school in Newton, Allen attended Kansas State University where he was a member of the Alpha Tau Omega fraternity. His college education was interrupted by four years of service for the United States Navy. After graduating, he was united in marriage with Catherine Reber on December 23, 1955 in Manhattan, Kansas. Catherine survives of the home.
He is also survived by a son: Myron Molzen, Tucson, AZ; two daughters: Luanne (Steve) Menard, Kinsley, KS, and Marla Molzen, Belen, NM; a sister: Marilyn (Bill) Boettger, Oklahoma City, OK; and two grandsons: Dustin (Summer) Sherbert and Joey Shipman.
He is preceded in death by a brother: Gilbert Molzen; and a granddaughter: Lyndsay Sherbert.
A Memorial Service for Allen will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, November 12, 2015 at the First Presbyterian Church in Wamego, KS. Inurnment will follow at 3:00 p.m. at the Homestead Cemetery near Cottonwood Falls, KS. The family has suggested memorials to the First Presbyterian Church of Wamego, and may be left in care of the Stewart Funeral Home, PO Box 48, Wamego, KS 66547.
