Samuel Gofinch, 69, Wamego, KS passed away January 2, 2016 at the Good Shepherd Hospice House in Manhattan, Kansas.
Sam was born on January 19, 1946 in Oakland, CA. Sam was a truck driver for many years and helped with truck driving training. He has traveled to the 48 lower states and Canada. He was a Hells Angel and loved riding motorcycles. Sam was also a cat and dog lover, especially his cat, Meehaw.
He is survived by one son: John Hancock, Jr., Woodland, CA; five daughters: Tish of Florida, Belinda Tomasewk (Peter), Woodland, CA, Rhonda, Angela Hopper (David) Wamego, KS, and Rebecca Gofinch, Oklahoma City, OK; three brothers: Sunny Barger, Mesa, AZ, Tiny (Pam), Rogersville, MO, and Roman Angel (Foxy), Ava, MO; a sister: Rayetta Odom, Rogersville, MO; ex-wife Tammy, Hannibal, MO; and 26 grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by a son, Charlie, a brother, Terry, and three grandchildren: Makyla Gritzo, Ramona Hopper, and Johnathan Hancock.
A Memorial Service for Sam will be at 2:00 p.m. Friday, January 8, 2016 at Stewart Funeral Home of Wamego. A visitation will happen one hour prior to the service. The family has suggested memorials to the ASPCA and the Cross Point Community Church, and may be left in care of Stewart Funeral Home, PO Box 48, Wamego, KS 66547.
