View Memorial Slideshow Tammie S. Hartwick, 56, of Wamego, Kansas passed away Saturday, January 23, 2016 at Stormont-Vail Hospital in Topeka. Tammie was born August 22, 1959, the daughter of Leo and Lois (Blair) Tholl. She grew up in Emmett, KS and attended St. Marys High School, graduating in 1977. In 1982, Tammie met the love of her life, Michael Hartwick, and they married on April 15, 1983. Tammie and Michael had three beautiful girls, Ashley, Amanda, and Mallory. Her survivors include her husband, Michael Hartwick, of the home in Wamego, KS; three daughters: Ashley Ayon, (T.J.) of Wamego, KS, Amanda Hartwick, (William Drilon) of Manhattan, KS, Mallory Huff (Josh) of Wamego, KS; two grandchildren, Drake Hartwick and Kendal Drilon; three sisters: Linda Wright of Wamego, KS, Roxey Fulmer (Russ) of Wamego, KS, Maxine Simmer (Tom) of Hiawatha, KS; a sister in-law: Tina Davis (Michael) of Junction City, KS;. She was preceded in death by both of her parents, and brother in-law Wilbur Wright. Shortly after school, she began her career with Kansas Farm Bureau. Later, Tammie went to work at Kansas State University for 24 years in administrative offices of the schools of business and engineering. She had great pleasure in assisting students and staff. To better deal with her health issues, she took an early retirement. She dedicated her life to spending time with her family, friends, and especially her grandkids. A Memorial Celebration of Life for Tammie will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, January 30, 2016 at Stewart Funeral Home of Wamego. Inurnment will follow in Wamego City Cemetery.
