Gary C. Roudybush, 63, a longtime resident of Wamego, KS area, died April 17, 2009 at his home, surrounded by his family and friends.
Gary was born April 3, 1946 in Onaga, KS, the son of Charles E. and Ruth Jane (Tetter) Roudybush. He grew up in Onaga, attended Onaga schools, and was a member of the Laclede Baptist Church. Gary was self-employed for many years, doing concrete and construction work in the Wamego area. Gary was also very busy farming for many years. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, gardening and loved his time working on the farm. He lived life to its fullest.
He married Jackie King in 1965, they divorced. He later married Elizabeth Speake, they divorced. On May 20, 2000, Gary married Claudetta “Casey” Bastian in Mansfield, MO. She survives of the home.
Additional survivors include two daughters, Veronica Lambotte and husband Rick, of Willard, KS, Corina Sabrusulay of California; one son, Curtis Roudybush and his wife Debra, of Belvue, KS; three step-daughters, Jamie Franch, of Belvue, KS, Lisa Schurle and husband Daryl, of Leonardville, KS, Dusty Franch of Texas; one brother, Charles Roudybush of Wamego, KS; a sister, Linda Hensley of Louisville, KS; 19 grandchildren, and one great-granddaughter, Ravin Rena` Parker. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Ralph, his brother-in-law Jack Parker, and his step-daughter, Brandee Bastian.
Funeral services for Mr. Roudybush will be held Monday, April 20, 2009 at 2:30 p.m. at the Stewart Funeral Home of Wamego. Private burial for family only will follow in Louisville Cemetery.
