Charles E. Roudybush, 73, a lifelong resident of the Louisville and Wamego, Kansas area, passed away Thursday, January 28, 2016 at Via Christi Village of Manhattan.
Charles was born May 28, 1942 at his family’s home in Havensville, KS, the son of Charles and Ruth J. (Tetter) Roudybush. He attended schools in Onaga, KS, and then began a career in construction. At the age of 17, he started working building bridges in many states, until about 1982. At that time he and his brothers, Ralph and Gary, started Roudybush Concrete Construction. He enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, fishing, and fixing up older cars. He was always keeping busy and was a hard worker. He also had a great love for his nieces and nephews
Survivors include his sister: Linda Hensley of Louisville, KS, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers: Ralph and Gary; and a brother in-law, Jack Parker.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, January 30, 2016 at the Louisville Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Charles Roudybush Memorial Fund, to be designated later, and may be left in care of the Stewart Funeral Home, PO Box 48, Wamego, KS 66547.
