Karlene Ethel Lindenmuth

Karlene Ethel Lindenmuth, 47, Wamego, KS passed away at her home in Wamego Thursday, April 21, 2016. On December 29, 1968, Karlene was born to Karl and Gelene (Bletscher) Lindenmuth in Manhattan, KS. Karlene graduated from Wamego High School in 1987 where she excelled in academics and sports. She graduated from Kansas State University with a degree in Elementary Education and also received a degree from Washburn University where she was on the Dean’s List. Karlene lived in Texas, Topeka, and Kansas City working in elementary education and childcare. She touched the lives of many and will be missed. Karlene is survived by her mother, a brother: Kelly Lindenmuth (Debbie), Springdale, AR; three sisters: Kathy Zubillaga (Steve), Topeka, KS, Kari Peek (Jeff), Belvue, KS, and Kami Beets (Laith), Wamego, KS; five nieces and five nephews. She is preceded in death by her father. A Funeral Service for Karlene will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday, April 25, 2016 at the Wamego First United Methodist Church. Interment will follow at the Wamego City Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 – 6:00 p.m. Sunday, April 24, 2016 at the Stewart Funeral Home of Wamego. In lieu of flowers, the family has suggested memorials to the Karlene Lindenmuth Memorial Fund, and may be left in care of Stewart Funeral Home, PO Box 48, Wamego, KS 66547.
