Ivalo M. (Stigge) Bisping, 90, formerly of Alma, Kansas, passed away Saturday, December 3, 2016 in Topeka, KS. Ivalo was born June 5, 1926, the daughter of Fred and Ida (Bolle) Stigge. She married Ervin C. Bisping on April 22, 1948. He preceded her in death on June 15, 1987. Together, they farmed and raised livestock in Linn, Kansas.. After selling the farm they moved to Manhattan, Kansas, where Ivalo worked at Kansas State University in the Housing and Maintenance Department until her retirement in 1988 She loved to spend time with her family, her pets and feeding the birds and squirrels. Her greatest passion was using her green thumb growing flowers. She is survived by her children, Beverly Tolbert, and Ronald Bisping, of Topeka, and Kenneth Bisping of Shawnee; her grandchildren, Michael Tolbert, Topeka, and Mary Zoeller (Scott) , Ohio; her great-grandchildren, Stephanie Tolbert, and Ashley Tolbert, Topeka; sister –in-law Loretta Stigge, Washington, KS; numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, 6 brothers, 2 sisters, and her son-in-law. Graveside burial services were held Tuesday, December 6, 2016 in the St. John Lutheran Cemetery of Alma, KS. The family suggests memorials to the Alzheimer’s Association, or to St John Lutheran Church of Alma, and may be left in care of the Stewart Funeral Home of Alma, P.O. Box 126, Alma, KS 66401.
