View Memorial Slideshow Louise Faye Eichem, 84, of Wamego, KS passed away April 2, 2017 at the Good Shepherd Hospice House in Manhattan, KS. On June 25, 1932, Louise was born to John and Marie (Harris) Fairchild in Fostoria, KS. She was united in marriage with James Stueve in 1951. She later was united in marriage with Lee Eichem in 1980. They both preceded her in death. Louise loved her children and all of her grandchildren. She was very proud of their accomplishments, enjoyed their events, and had pictures of them everywhere. Louise also enjoyed vacations and flowers, especially roses. She always drank coffee in the mornings with friends at the Homestead Senior Residences and loved to gossip. Louise worked from the home most of her life, but she also spent several years working at the Westy Care Home. She will be deeply missed. She is survived by five children: Terry Torrey (Steve), St. George, KS, Jim Stueve (Mary), Louisville, KS, Sue Seele, Maple Hill, KS, Randy Stueve (Ramona), Wamego, KS, and Ronnie Stueve (Annette), Fostoria, KS; a sister: Joyce Joan Wallace, Grapeland, TX; thirteen grandchildren, twenty-five great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild. She is also preceded in death by a son: Larry Stueve; six brothers: Earl Beebe, Raymond Fairchild, Delbert Fairchild, Bob Fairchild, Gene Fairchild, and Pate Fairchild; four sisters: Hazel Wagner, Marie Pearl Asbury, Doris White, and Mary Hubbs; and her parents. Funeral Service for Louise will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, April 7, 2017 at the Stewart Funeral Home of Wamego. Burial will follow in the St. Bernard Cemetery. Visitation will be 6:00 – 7:30 p.m. Thursday, April 6, 2017 at funeral home. Memorials are suggested to the Good Shepherd Hospice House in Manhattan, which may be left in care of Stewart Funeral Home, PO Box 48, Wamego, KS 66547.
