Enid Hope Bahr

Enid Hope Bahr, 91, formerly of Wamego, and Topeka, Kansas passed away Saturday, March 20, 2010 at the Osage Nursing Center in Osage City, Kansas. Enid was born February 27, 1919 in Kelly, Kansas the youngest of three children of Bryon C. and Susan M. (McGrath) Dennis. She attended Wamego schools and graduated from Wamego High School in 1937. She served in the US Army during WWII, and married Donald A. Bahr following her military service. He preceded her in death in 1977. Enid worked as a clerk for WIBW Broadcasting Co. until her retirement. Her sister, Alice M. Roark, of Wamego, also preceded her in death, and she also had a brother, Donald Dennis, of Manhattan, KS. Her survivors include her brother-in-law, Louis Roark of Wamego. Graveside funeral service for Mrs. Bahr will be held at 9:00 a.m. Thursday, March 25 at the Wamego City Cemetery, with Pastor Jol Klein officiating.
