Sherry Lee Mosher, 68, of Wamego, Kansas passed away Saturday, June 12, 2010 at Wamego City Hospital following her battle with cancer.
Sherry was born June 27, 1941 in Canon City, Colorado, the daughter of Richard Lee and Margaret E. (Kees) Davies. She attended schools in Canon City, graduating from Canon City High School in 1959. She worked as a bookkeeper for the Middletown School District in Lake County, California for many years until retirement in 2003.
On August 24, 1984, Sherry married Hugh E. Mosher in Canon City. They moved to Wamego in 2003 to begin living their years of retirement together. Her husband Hugh survives of their home.
Sherry enjoyed arts and crafts, reading, playing the piano, and her flower garden with many roses. She especially loved her family and the time spent together.
Survivors also include her daughter, LaDonna Andritsch and her husband Bill, of Paxico, KS; her son, Russell Keys and his wife Lani, of St. George, KS; two step-daughters, Jennifer Greenwell and her husband Glenn, Sacramento, CA, Jamie Edwards of Sacramento, CA; one sister, Karen Copeland; two brothers, Warner Davies and wife Cindy, Dennis Davies and wife Sharon, all of Canon City, CO; six grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, June 17, 2010 at the Stewart Funeral Home of Wamego. Mrs. Mosher will lie in-state beginning at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, where the family will greet friends during a visitation from 7:00 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. Memorials are suggested to the Terry Johnson Center for Cancer Research at KSU and may be left in care of Stewart Funeral Home, P.O.
