Dalene Marie (Domeny) Hill

Wamego- Dalene Marie Hill, 53, of Chelsea, Oklahoma, and formerly of Wamego, Kansas, went to be with the lord Tuesday, September 21, 2010 at St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa, Oklahoma, after a hard fight with cancer. She was born October 24, 1956 in Wamego, Kansas, the daughter of Dale and the late Ruth Domeny. She had lived in Wamego up until six years ago before moving to Chelsea, Oklahoma. She attended Wamego High School graduating in 1974. She then married her best friend and love of her life of 37 years, Russ Hill. Dalene worked as a daycare provider for 16 years and for Rural Water District before becoming a homemaker. She enjoyed spending time with her family. Always finding a good deal, collecting things, being on the computer, avid K-State fan, a wonderful cook and spoiling her family. Survivors include her husband Russ, of Chelsea, OK; a daughter Janelle Woodward and husband Ben, of Wamego; 3 grandchildren: Brittney, Brooke and Breck Woodward, of Wamego; her father Dale Domeny, Wamego; 2 brothers: Tom Worthing and wife Connie, Inman, KS, and Allan Worthing and wife Rochelle, Denver, CO. A memorial service will be held Saturday, September 25, 2010, at 11:00 a.m., at Stewart Funeral Home of Wamego. A luncheon will follow at Trinity Baptist Church, Wamego. A private burial will be held at Wabaunsee Township Cemetery. Memorials may be left in Dalene’s name to be determined at a later date and may be left in care of Stewart Funeral Home of Wamego, P.O.
