Terry Lee Sackrider

Terry Lee Sackrider, 55, a lifelong resident of Wamego, Kansas, passed away Thursday, September 23, 2010 at the Golden Acres Nursing Home in Onaga, Kansas. Terry was born on October 24, 1954 in Manhattan, Kansas to his parents, John Clifford and Lola Jean (Lippencott) Sackrider. He attended schools in Wamego where he graduated from high school in 1973. Terry was a custodian at Kansas State University for 10 years and later worked at Pizza Hut in Wamego for 10 years. Terry enjoyed ceramics, family gatherings and especially spending time with his nieces and nephews. He adored his dog and best friend Darla. Survivors include one sister, Karen Sue Ridder and her husband Dan; one niece, Amy Davis and her husband Bill; one nephew, Chris Ridder and his wife Brenda; all of Wamego, Kansas; and five grand nieces and nephew, Dylan, Austin and Jacob Davis, Clara Carter, Hunter and Harley Ridder, all of Wamego. He was preceded in death by his parents, and his twin brother Gary in 2001. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, September 28, 2010 at Wamego City Cemetery. The family will greet friends during a visitation from 7:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Monday, at the Stewart Funeral Home of Wamego.
