Gary Michael Reinert

Gary Reinert, 55, passed away December 26, 2006 at Wamego City Hospital. Born on March 7, 1951 in Atwood, Kansas, he was the son of Peter A. and Dorothy R. (Kogl) Reinert. On December 29, 1973 he married Patty Cox in Ogden, Kansas. Gary was known for his carpentry skills, cabinet making and love for hunting. His survivors include: his mother Dorothy R. Reinert; his wife Patty of the home; his son Aaron M. Reinert of Manhattan, KS; his bothers, Greg Reinert of Overland Park, KS and Doug Reinert of Atwood, KS; his sisters, Rose Blume of Aurora, CO, Sherri Reinert-Gehman of Omaha, NE, Cindy Shriwise of Jetmore, KS, Joyce Losey of Hugoton, KS, and Patty Reinert-Mason of Washington D.C. He was preceded in death by his father Peter and a sister Marie Braasch-Moore. A Rosary service was held Thursday, December 28, at Seven Dolores Catholic Church in Manhattan, with a Memorial Mass at the Church, Friday, Dec. 29, 2006. A memorial has been established in Gary’s name for Midwest Transplant Network and may be left in care of Stewart Funeral Home Wamego, P.O. Box 48, 66547.
