Westmoreland-Elaine (Bonner) Robinson, 68, died January 20, 2007 due to injuries sustained in an automobile accident near Louisville, KS.
Born at home on August 6, 1938, in Rulo, Nebraska, she was the daughter of Carl and Wilma (Guilliams) Bachman. On February 7, 1955 she married Louis Bonner. The couple later divorced. Elaine was a member of the Westmoreland Christian Church as well as the Women’s American Legion Auxiliary post #186. She started the volunteer Emergency Medical Technician’s of Westmoreland and assisted them for nearly five years. In November of 1985, she married Dave Robinson and he later preceded her in death.
Elaine is survived by: her two daughters, Darla Hanks and husband Bob of Westmoreland, and Joann Douglass and husband Frank of Stillwater, OK; her two sons, Darrell Bonner and wife Christie of Colorado City, TX, and William Bonner of Las Vegas, NV; her brother Dennis Bachman of Newstrawn, KS; her sister Evelyn Childers of London, ARK; her seven granddaughters; her three great grandsons; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husbands, Elaine was preceded in death by a daughter, Beverly Bonner, a brother Bob Bachman, and a sister Judy Spain.
Funeral Services for Elaine will be held Friday January 26, 2007 at 10:30 a.m. at Stewart Funeral Home in Wamego. Burial will follow in Westmoreland City Cemetery. A visitation will be Thursday evening at the funeral home from 7-8:00 p.m. A memorial has been established in Elaine’s name and will be designated at a later time.
