Aillun Glen Vance

Wamego-Aillun Glen Vance, 78, of Wamego, KS, died January 31, 2007 at Mercy Regional Health Center in Manhattan. Born on May 22, 1928, in Arkansas, he was the son of William and Eva (Bray) Vance. On October 3, 1950, he entered into the United States Army and proudly served for two years. On October 11, 1957, Aillun married Melissa Katherine Henslee in Dallas Texas, where the couple made their home. The couple eventually moved to Wamego in 2004. Aillun was a member of the Trinity Baptist Church of Wamego. Survivors include: his wife, Katherine Vance of the home; one son, David Vance and wife Janet, of Wamego, KS; three grandchildren, Ryan, Cory, Kyle and two step grandchildren Anthony and Briana. Funeral services with full military honors will be held at 3:00 p.m., Friday, February 2, 2007 at Stewart Funeral Home of Wamego. The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow in Wamego City Cemetery.
