Alice Rose (Lintz) Pauley, 77, of Wamego, Kansas passed away at her home Monday, November 4, 2019.
She was born January 1, 1942 in Wamego, Kansas the daughter of Julius John Lintz and Venus (Fleming) Lintz. Alice attended St. George schools and graduated from St. George High School. She worked at several jobs before starting work at the Kansas State University Animal Sciences Department, where she worked over 30 years until retiring in 2010. Alice lived on her family farm almost all of her life. She loved her dogs and horses, and loved riding her horses from the time she was a young child.
She is survived by two daughters: Diane Haffener who was Alice’s loving caretaker for years and years, and her husband Randy Peacock of Wamego, and Rose Marie Kempher of Louisville, KY; two sons: John Pauley (Anna Li), San Francisco, CA, Brian Scott Pauley (Madeline) of Dallas, TX; two sisters: Sharon Bonawitz, Manhattan, KS, and Linda Newman of Wamego; 6 grandchildren, and 5 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a sister, Julie Cates.
A funeral service for Alice will be held on Saturday, November 9th, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at Stewart Funeral Home of Wamego with burial following in the St. Bernard Cemetery. Family will greet friends during a visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m. until time of the service.
