Alice Marie Sutton

Alice Marie Sutton, 86, of Wamego, Kansas, died Friday, October 21, 2022, at Wellsprings of Westmoreland. She was a long-time resident of the community. Alice was born on April 13, 1936, in Smith Center, Kansas, the daughter of Harry Cecil and Sadie (Carter) Rhoades. She attended grade school and graduated from Smith Center High School. Alice worked for twenty-three years in housekeeping at Wamego City Hospital. She enjoyed doing various crafts and reading. Alice was a quiet person and enjoyed being a homebody. Alice is survived by her children; David Sutton (Vicki), Milford, Indiana, Kathy Feldhausen (Dale), Manhattan, and Dawna Sutton, Wamego; six grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild; her sisters, Joann Hunnacutt (Jack), Smith Center, and Florence Kistler (Donald)), Albany, Oregon. She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers, Carl Rhoades and Donald Rhoades. No funeral service is planned.
