Christopher John Browne, 60, Olsburg, KS passed away Sunday, June 11, 2017. On June 2, 1957 Chris was born to Thomas Charles and Naomi Jane (Craft) Browne in Colby, KS. He graduated from Colby High School in 1976 and attended Manhattan Area Technical College earning an Associate’s Degree in Automotive Mechanics. In 1990 Chris founded Carnahan Creek Tree Service, a business he ran in the Manhattan area for twenty plus years. Chris was a Certified Arborist. He was employed for several years at Goetch Irvine Motor Company where his love for MOPAR muscle cars was instilled. An avid outdoorsman, Chris loved hunting and the wide open spaces of his Carnahan Creek Road farm. He is survived by a brother: Charles Browne (Cindy), Hermann, MO; a sister: Candace Landers, Leavenworth, KS; a half sister: Cheryl Mosier, Abilene, KS; and several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents. Chris had one of the truest, kindest hearts. He understood the meaning of friendship because he was a good friend to so many. From his love of the outdoors to the band of fellow motorcycle riders affectionately known as the PPP Motorcycle Club, his love of life showed in everything he did. Share in Chris' friendship at a celebration of his life to be held on Sunday, July 2 at 3:00pm at Anneberg Park #1, Manhattan, KS. In lieu of flowers, the family has suggested memorials to Christopher Browne Memorial Fund, and may be left in care of Stewart Funeral Home, PO Box #48, Wamego, KS 66547. The memorial fund will be used to plant trees in his honor.
