Delbert W. Kufahl

 Delbert William Kufahl, 79, of Onaga, Kansas, passed away on Friday (February 14, 2025) at Eastridge Nursing Facility in Centralia, Kansas.

 Born April 2, 1945 at the family home in Onaga, Delbert was the son of Henry William and Hilda Margaret (Abitz) Kufahl. He attended Wheaton Grade School and was a graduate of Wheaton High School. Delbert was baptized at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Duluth and confirmed at St. Luke Lutheran Church in Wheaton, where he is still a member.

 A fourth generation farmer on the Kufahl Family Farm, Delbert was a dairyman who was recognized for his Grade A Dairy products. Delbert had been a member of the Young Farmers of America. 

 Although farming was his passion, Delbert also enjoyed working on tractors and driving them in parades, tending to his yardwork, tinkering on almost anything and watching TV, keeping up on the weather, western movies and sports. He was fan of all K State sports, especially basketball.

 Survivors include his siblings, Ardell Kufahl (Arlene) of Wheaton, Orlene Krohn of Blaine, and Don Kufahl (Margie) of Hoyt; and many loving nieces and nephews who will miss him.

 Delbert was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Nila Haefner and her husband Ernie; a brother in law, Myron Krohn; a nephew, Kevin Haefner; and a niece, Darla Kufahl.

 Funeral services will be held Saturday morning (February 22, 2025) at 11:00 at St. Luke Lutheran Church in Wheaton with Pastor Terry DeGiovanni officiating. Inurnment will be at a later date in St. Luke North Cemetery.

 Delbert will lie in state on Friday beginning at 3:00 p.m. at St. Luke Lutheran Church in Wheaton. The family will meet with friends at a visitation on Friday evening (February 21, 2025) from 5:00 to 7:00 at the church in Wheaton. A prayer service will be Friday evening at 6:15 at the church.
