Donald Eugene Livengood

  Donald Eugene Livengood, 65, Wamego, KS passed away Friday, November 9, 2018 at the Wamego City Hospital.   On January 20, 1953, Don, was born to Floyd and Walterina (Vance) Livengood in Hugoton, KS.  Don graduated from Sublette High School in 1971 and attended Liberal Area Vocational Technical School where he obtained an Associate’s Degree in Automechanics.  He started in the auto industry working in a shop with his dad.  Don worked as a mechanic for Briggs Auto in Manhattan, KS for 22 years before working for Brown Chevrolet Buick Inc. in Wamego for 3 years.   He was united in marriage with Vicki Lee Hittle on July 29, 1972 in Hugoton, KS.  She survives of the home.   Don continued his passion of working on vehicles at home.  He seemingly had the ability to fix anything, including house projects.  He also enjoyed doing lawn work.   He is preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Ronnie, and a sister, Bonnie Bellesine.   He is also survived by two daughters, LaCrecia Heiman (Dan), Wamego, KS, and Shlaya Ndaro (Heroin), Gardner, KS; a sister, Connie Rigney, Wichita Falls, TX; a brother, Lonnie Livengood, Wichita Falls, TX; and four grandchildren, Madisyn Heiman, Jaidyn Heiman, Keyarrah Burnette, and Khaige Burnette.   Family will greet friends during a visitation Tuesday, November 20th from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the Stewart Funeral Home of Wamego.  In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the Pottawatomie County Caring Hearts Humane Society, and may be left in care of the Stewart Funeral Home, PO Box 48, Wamego, KS 66547.
