Elizabeth Rice

Elizabeth Ann Rice, 75, of Wamego, Kansas, died Thursday, December 31, 2020, at Via Christi Health Center. She was a long-time member of the community. Elizabeth was born on November 20, 1945, in Wichita, Kansas, the daughter of Harold F. and Catherine (Linn) Kirch. She graduated from High School in Augusta, Kansas, in 1963. She then graduated from Emporia State University with a degree in Business Education. Elizabeth worked at various businesses including The Living Word Church, and many years Valley Vista Good Samaritan Center in Wamego, as a secretary. She was a member of Trinity Baptist Church in Wamego. Elizabeth loved to read and she enjoyed jigsaw puzzles. Elizabeth married Gerald Rice on February 25, 1967, in Augusta. He survives at their home. She is also survived by her children; Steven Rice (Heather), Pratt, and Carrie Rice, Manhattan; her grandson, Adan Rice; and her sister, Linette Pugh, Harrisonville, Missouri.
