  Ethan Michael Straub, 25, of Wamego, Kansas passed away on Tuesday, February 27, 2018.

  On February 25, 1993 Ethan was born to Chad Straub and Robin Smith in Manhattan, Kansas.  Growing up Ethan enjoyed fishing, hunting, and riding his motocross bike with his father.  He was also an inspired artist, and created many masterful pencil sketches and pen-and-ink drawings.  Ethan was also a proud big brother to his younger sister, who he loved with all his heart.

  Ethan loved his big family, with numerous aunts, uncles, grandparents, and cousins, and was always there to encourage and help them when needed.  He was handy, a tinkerer who could fix anything small with his gifted and artistic hands.  He was especially fond of babies and animals, and had many enjoyable moments with his younger cousins and children of friends, and growing up hugged and held numerous pets.

  He is survived by his mother, Robin Kluck, step-father, Travis Kluck, sister, Jasmine Straub, Columbus, NE;  grandparents, ,Ron and Nalita Wright, Wamego, KS;  uncles Richard Smith (Samantha), Seward, NE;  Aaron Wright, Topeka. KS; Casey Wright (Mati), Galveston, TX; aunt Liana Wright, Lawrence, KS; and first-cousins Sarah Yoho, Mackynzie Morris,  Austin and Abigail Wright, and Freya Parkhurst. He is preceded in death by his father, Chad Straub, uncle, Troy Straub, uncle, Wade Parkhurst, paternal grandparents, Dale Straub and Nancy Turner.

  Ethan had an especially strong bond with his mother Robin and uncle Richard, and that bond will burn between them all forevermore.

  Memorial service for Ethan will be at 2:00 p.m. Friday, March 9, 2018 at the Stewart Funeral Home of Wamego.  A private graveside will be held at St. George Cemetery at a later time.  The family has suggested memorials to the Ethan Straub Memorial Fund to be designated at a later date, and may be left in care of Stewart Funeral Home, PO Box 48, Wamego, KS 66547.
