James Bennett

   James Dale Bennett, 57, of Wamego, Kansas, passed away on Sunday (March 3, 2024) in Manhattan, Kansas.

   Born February 4, 1967 in Wamego, James was the son of Wayne M. and Betty Lou Pageler Bennett.

   An avid fisherman, James also enjoyed camping and mushroom hunting. He will be remembered for the many fish frys he held for his family and friends.

   James had most recently been employed as a ranch hand until his retirement for health reasons.

   Survivors include a son, Darwin Manor of Hettinger, N.D.; a sister, Pam Gardner (Mike) of Wamego, KS; two brothers, Steve Bennett (Susie) of Belvue, KS and Tim Bennett (Denise) of Argyle, MO; nieces and nephews, Kyle Bennett (Brenda) of Wamego, KS, Kaitlyn Bennett (Alex) of Kansas City, MO, Erica Goeller (Curt) of St. Thomas, MO, Mike Bennett (Daphne) of Ulman, MO, Courtney Pethan (Jake) of Prairie Home, MO and TJ Bennett (Karson) of Wardsville, MO; great nieces and great nephews, Zachary, Aiden, Zoey. Lilliana, Weston, Garrett, Ellie, Leah, Breanna, Scarlett, Jack and two who are due soon.

   James was preceded in death by this parents and grandparents

   Cremation arrangements are in the care of Campanella & Stewart Funeral Home.

   Private memorial graveside services will be held.
